Gentoo Filter Cartridge is essential for your Gentoo, Gentoo Plus, Gentoo Glass and Gentoo Lite Water Filtration System. Each filter cartridge is up for replacement every 3 months, or with 600 litres of water used, which ever comes first.

We recently bit the bullet and bought a Gentoo Lite and although we did not have ridiculously high expectations, (it's just a water filter jug after all), it has so far exceeded all our preconceived perceptions of both quality and functionality. It appears to be well made with good quality components and so far the user experience has been flawless. We very much appreciate the three month (or 600 litre) filter change interval and the nice touch of including a day counter on the filter monitor. It is easy to use and once the filter has been broken in, filters and fills in mere minutes. The taste of the water is absolutely the best we have ever had, and by this we mean it has no taste, just pure unadulterated clean water, like it should be. Although they are not the cheapest water filter jug available and the filters are twice the price (comparatively) of other more commercial brands, the quality of the end result is well worth the extra cost.
