FAQs for Little Penguin

Is the little penguin water bottle filtered water Alkaline?

Yes, it is the first reusable drinking bottle that alkalises the water.

Calcium Ionized Clay is used to turn the water alkaline.

Why is this betterthan bottled water?

Environmentally we are not wasting plastic bottles as Little Penguin is reusable. Most bottle water is just filtered tap water, so it is not alkaline. Alkaline bottled water is usually stored in tanks so air pollutants can still reduce the alkalinity of the water.

Silver activated carbon can kill bacteria more effectively than ordinary activated carbon.

Does the water lose alkalinity?

Water generally starts to lose its alkalinity after 24 hours, but this can vary depending on how the water is stored and the temperature the water is kept in.

Why does the alkalinity in various water products vary?

Water loses it alkalinity in general over 18-24 hours, but this depends on the methods used to alkaline the water, the amount of pollutant particles surrounding the alkaline water and what temperature the water is kept in.  Air carries PM2.5 and PM10 particles in it, so as soon as you unseal an alkaline water bottle, air gets inside the bottle and begins reducing the alkalinity of the water.

Is the bottle replaceable in case of damage or lost parts?

We sell the little penguin bottle with one filter included, the only replaceable part is the filter, which comes in 4 different colour options.

If the bottle is broken, can I still buy the bottle itself without filter?

Regrettably, unless it is a manufacturing fault, we will not replace a broken bottle.

Is little penguin suitable for using dish washer or washing with hot water?

No, little penguin bottle and filter are not suitable for dish washer. We recommend you to hand wash it with warm or cold water with mild detergent or ecobud’s activated oxygen water to sterilise and deodorise

Instructions say it needs to replace the filter every 2 month. What happens if I use it for longer period than 2 months?

The quality of water may be affected.

How much water can I filter through one filter?
